Oil can get onto the sensor and is hard to clean off. I would try to sand down
with fine paper first. Sometimes it is sharp edges that bind. Without looking
at them, though, I'm just making a guess. I have some Nye grease that is very
thick that would be safer, but not sure lubrication is the best solution. Once
you get it on, you will eventually have to get it off.
