Thanks for the comments. That rainbow flare effect on convex surfaces doesn't
seem rare. There is a perceived convexity bias when specular highlights are
seen--not that everyone doesn't know the expected shapes of the truck parts.
Good eye on the RV. The poor driver from the UK was in deep doodoo with his
wife. Competent four wheel trucks can not navigate the Burr Trail w/o chains
when it is greasy like that. The wet clay is extremely slick. The poor
decision will cost them 6-8 hours of waiting and WELL over 1K. The nearest
place with a vehicle that could help is over 100 mi away.
We took a pass that day traversing the Burr Trail but went back a couple years
