I haven't seen those large acorns in many years. When I was a teenager, there was a tree behind my house that
produced those.
I think the close-up may have fooled your eyes as to scale.The gnawed down front is 7/8", so I'd guess the whole thing
was about 1 1/8" long. Small feathers, too. :-)
It's a good example of focus stacking. Even @ f11, a FF shot can't get both acorn and feathers in focus at once.

Poor comparison, in that magnification, framing and lighting are different, but
I think the point is clear.
