BayPhoto has told me the metal printing process is a dye sublimation process. It is meant to have a almost three dimensional appearance. It is not going to have tack sharpness like a photo print. BayPhoto just recently launched "Epic prints." "Epic Prints consist of a fine art collector-level print on Fujiflex Crystal Archive Photographic Paper mounted on sturdy Aluminum Composite (ACM) or .07-inch Aluminum." These are said to have 610 dpi resolution!!! I doubt they are as tough as metal prints though. https://bayphoto.com/wall-displays/epic-prints/ Now I just need something epic to print, Mike -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
