I'm also quite happy with the Dual IS with Panny OIS lenses.
As to lenses, another reason I have a Panny is that my favorite lenses are
Panny, PLeica 12-60 and 100-400. I DO NOT LIKE the Oly 12-100. In addition to
just not getting along with it in some general way, closest focus @ 12 mm is a
disaster for anyone shooting flower, bugs, anything close. Did I mention
STUPID??
Apparently, there are lots of people who like it. :-)
I have the Panny Fishy and 7-14, vs. the Olys basically for reasons of
size/weight.
D'Opinion welcome.
Any thoughts on the PLeica 50-200mm? other than 1.44 vs 2.17 lb; 67 vs 72 mm
filter thread; 75mm vs 100 mm close focus; both are 0.25X though. Close focus
is a priority for me as well.
Sorry, no idea. I have zero interest in the group of 40/45/50-150/175/200 lenses, so know nothing about them. I got a
kit version in a kit once, and sold it off unopened.
I do have the Panny 100-300/4-5.6 II, but really know little about it. I bought it as B-U for the 10-400. I've taken all
of 15 shots with it, tests to make sure it works and is OK. It and a Panny 12-60/3.5-5.6 live in a separate little bag
that just fits them and goes on all trips.
They have worked perfectly so far. With them at hand, the primaries have worked
flawlessly. :-)
