According to Google, both male and female sing, a repetitive single
note. My hearing is so weak that, unless I am wearing a hearing aid, I
would not hear them.

OTT : do they sing? PleAsant melodies oR shrieks. I photographed one in Cetnral Park, NYC, some yeArs ago now, but never heard aTHE sound they (must) produce.
