Hmm, almost comes across as a non sequitur but the intention was to provide
justification for the trade-up only. I suppose one might try to paint the
foreground with flash, but might
be a bit harsh. I recall John pulling off something analogous in a train
shot. The OM-2 ( to keep on topic) in auto will keep the shutter open after
the flash if exposure limit isn't achieved.
As not tracking, the previously anticipated Canary Island astro-landscape
shots would be in the 20 sec range to avoid star trails. Flash is for other
purposes. Thanks for thinking about it.
