While we were living with relatives, when I was about three, I recall falling into a shallow well stream where there
were snakes of some kind. The stream ran beneath a muscadine arbor. Some adult quickly pulled me out, and I was
unharmed. But, I definitely remember it.
The earliest memory I can date is feeling my next younger brother to be kicking in Mom's tummy. As he was born 4+ months
after my third birthday . . . I have other hazy v. early memories, probably from around that time, but can't date them.
