Just a big article on this subject in our going out of business daily.
Consider in the center, the very very center of flyover country. The maps
thrown around by our government showing HS access show a good part of our state
covered. Guess what? I'm from the government and I here to blow smoke up your
a**. Apparently if there is one, and only one HS internet connection available
in a census tract, that makes it good for everyone there.
News flash to the FCC commissioner, a native of our fair state: ITS NOT!. Costs
too much to string fiber, so no chance of a profit. Welcome to the ugly
underbelly of capitalism.

We are nearly next door to UC Berkeley. DSL was crappy, cable is OK, but
pricey; no fiber yet.

You'll have to ask Tina about Mongolia. They have it in some hotels in Bhutan,
but it's usually useless.

Yup, beautiful for days. A cherry tree and magnolia blooming on the way back
from the dentist today. I hope it gets back
to rain soon, as we need the snow pack.
