I guess this all has to do with hand size and finger length. I find that the 
switch on the GX 7 lies perfectly under thumb when holding the camera with 
index finger on shutter release, but there is no reasonable way to get the 
switch in hand on the EM5ii.

I see the EM5ii on your list. Never had a problem with the switch 
position, Works fine for me. A used/refurb model might be the best value 
of the lot. A nice upgrade from the v1. Especially the dynamic range. 
Can be had cheaply and would tide you over until the new models come out 
in the next few months. Even if you don't want to go with the cresting 
wave the prices on the back side of the wave will be a sweet spot. 
That's where I hang out :)
