There were lots of tourists indeed, but the pubs I visited were crowded with
locals, not tourists. Places like Trinity College were crowded with tourists,
true.
The famine memorial was very moving, and it was pure luck that I stumbled upon
it. It was during the 1-mile walk from my hotel to the conference center, along
the river.
