I was in Dublin this week, for the first time in about 20 years. <. . .>
So a quick 2-day walk around the capital of Ireland is here:

I hope it conveys Dublin as I felt it—a city with a history, some of it
painful, and with a recent transformation as a Celtic tiger which, despite the crisis
that hit in 2010, remains a feature of Dublin.
But for the heart wrenching sculptures of the Famine, a fun tour.
We were also there for a day last fall, 10-21. Some overlap in places visited, quite a bit in sort of subjects and some
direct, although with occasional differences in approach.
I just scrambled to add a couple of shots of bar exteriors. No interiors, though, as I didn't go in. I like that we had
different takes on the spiral staircase in the Long Room, and chose different busts to photograph. I seem not to have
taken an overall shot of the Long Room, but, as compensation, I have a shot of a similar layout "room", with glass
ceiling. :-)
All here, including a dozen or so new to the gallery.

We'll be back this fall, likely again with a single day in Dublin, and the rest
of 15 days elsewhere in Ireland.
