Gone through that approach a few times. My Win98/SE machine has all of
the CAD, photography, and professional writing software I can hope for. The
WinXP laptops have most of that minus the OrCAD SDT/PCB. Microsoft
deliberately robbed me and many others by making those routines and many others
unusable.
And each time they told us that these were real machines with a real OS
that would serve us for decades. Anyone seen what's happened in just the last
decade?
