I will admit that I'm slightly apprehensive towards -70F temperatures,
but fortunately, those shouldn't come for a couple more months--long
after I'm done with this trip. However, the problem is that now that
I'm fully equipped and credentialed, I'm the "go to" person in
engineering for everything even remotely remote. And there is a fair
bit of "remote" in Alaska. There are MANY projects that happen outside
Anchorage.
Bring it on!!!!!!!
I know some of you will laugh, but I'm getting my very own hard hat
for the first time in my work life. (I've worn them a few times, but
never had one with my own name written inside). I'm sure there is an
irony in there somewhere, but I'll just consider it a strange twist
that it's taken me three decades to finally get to this point in my
career.
