Appreciate the additional thoughts. Not sure the solar doohickeys will quite
do it due to shade. I at least learned about what questions to ask prior to
purchase.
The Kichler LED controller boasts that smaller G wire can be used as less
current required in DC to light the LED's vs AC. ( I assume LED's only really
light with current in proper direction unless they have some active electronics
in the fixture) The initial outlay would be for 2 -4, 4w pathway lights and
one 15w max out front for tree.
Mixing and matching manufacturers may be risky and specs of the lights are
difficult to investigate. For kicks I asked a landscaper who was by about
ballpark price---4.5K!!!! Admittedly that was for more lights at farther
distance ---but still. Labor around here is nutty. I'll dig the small
trenches for this little wire, thank you very much.
