It's been a relatively quiet hurricane season so far, but that's about to
change. Tropical Storm Florence will strengthen to hurricane status over the
weekend, and by Tuesday it will be a major hurricane. A few days ago it was
forecast to turn to the north and pass east of Bermuda, but the track has bent
to the south and now it will pass south of Bermuda. It is presently forecast
to make landfall near Cape Hatteras on Thursday, but with the track still
shifting southward that will undoubtedly change.
The concensus shown on the Florida spaghetti plot:

presently the TVCN/TVCX concensus models and GFS show landfall being near
Wilmington, NC on Thursday.
