> Pretty fast old girl, isn't she?
Yes, not bad. Not bad at all considering that she just birthed them
two days earlier. Somebody here at work just had a moose drop twins
last night in his fenced-in backyard.
Meanwhile, the bears are back. I did pick up a couple regular cans of
bear spray. (costco, where everything comes in bulk). We're doing some
hiking in areas that are problematic and just like last year, the
bears are hungry and causing problems. Normally, I just carry a tiny
pepperspray PPD, but got chastised pretty heavily for this for a
couple of the hiking spots. I hate being a geek carrying a bright
orange can around, but it's either that or a Glock 20. I've been told
more than once that humans are NOT at the top of the food chain here.
You know, other than the bears, moose, mountain lions, and over 100
spoken languages., Anchorage is just like any other city.
