I work for the same company and know these guys. Common reporter ethic
is that you don't become part of the story. You report on the story,
but don't become directly involved. This was a very serious situation
and they recognized that they needed to get involved. No hesitation.
Momma wasn't happy and charged the bicyclist at least three times. He
went down hard and couldn't get released from the clips. She was
probably going to stomp him if they didn't come to his rescue.
Alaskans are about survival first, "rules" second.
