You all know my penchant for odd, even weird imaging thingies. I've not been a fan of normal centers with swirly
outsides and bokeh. A few work for me . . .
Yet, inadvertently, I am now able to make them.

Here's the rig that took the that shot. I could almost have put it in the Visual Conundra gallery. :-)

If one want's swirly, there's the Petzval's, beautiful brass, annoying Waterhouse stops, for a few hundred $$. Or
there's the LensBaby Twist 60, for $280, or an old Iron Curtain lens, for $60+.
Of course, all those are designed to cover FF, so on smaller sensors, much of
the effect is lost - for good or ill. :-)
I've been curious about the use of CCTV lenses. I see them promoted for macro, which doesn't much interest me, but for
normal focal range I've wondered how "bad" they might be, and in what ways. Fotasy solved the research/choice morass by
offering a 25/1.4 C-Mount TV lens and C=>µ4/3 adapter package for $27, Prime shipping and no tax.
Turns out that wide open, it's a swirl monster, amount then adjustable by aperture. In bright light, though, f1/4 is too
bright. The rig above uses most of a set of step-down rings to adapt a 72 mm ND8 filter (3-stop) to 30 mm filter thread
on the lens. Cool looking, no? I do now have a NOS 30 mm filter coming.
Still pondering what other things it might be good for. Doesn't focus very
close, but the Oly MCON-P02 should fix that.

What if the Hokey Pokey *IS* what it's all about?
