Bill-
Check the connectors on the ends of the fixture to make sure they aren't
corroded. I had one go bad and burn up.
Thanks,
Steve Goss

Subject: [OM] Absolutely OT, electronic ballast question
I've just replaced the electronic ballast in a 4 tube (T8 tubes) overhead
fixture. When I first turned it on, both ends of the tubes came on full blast,
however the center section of each was more of a pulsating purple light. After
about ten minutes this pulsating thing went away and the tubes are now doing as
they should. Is this normal? Both ballast and tubes are new. Bill Barber
