Yes, I used to carry 300 rolls of film in a backpack for a two-week trip.
It doesn't get any smaller as you use it up! I do not want to try getting
film through all of the airport security check-points that I will
encounter!!
I photographed the Umayyad Mosque in 2005 but I used digital. I could
never go back to the M6 as much as I might want to because I couldn't focus
it - especially in low light. Plus the hassle of developing and scanning
film is beyond what I'm willing to do these days. I'm carrying my SL and
my iPhone.
