Consequences.
Good on Denmark. Just as an example of the kinds of antagonistic idiots we
have over here, I was, ah, debating immigration with a woman I know a few
months ago. I used your story of leaving communist Poland for Denmark as an
example of how human compassion is supposed to work. Told her about the
apartment, language lessons, etc. Her response? (Please, if you're not
sitting down, do so.)
"Well, did he pay the government back for all that welfare?"
