I like those portraits too, Nathan. I can imagine that their situations did
indeed resonate with you, but we should all be sympathetic.
I had rather imagined that Iraq was now bad because of the internecine
conflict. If it is Islamic fundamentalism it’s because there are different
shades of Islam acting extremely; but I’m not there, of course.
