I had both, and the 1.4 was 50mm , the 1.8 was a 55 mm if I recall it accurately
Which makes me get my sliding ruler out to get was the effective
aperture diameter actually was since the 1.4 and 1.8 values are ratios
... ;-)
Don't worry about the yellowing - expose the lense to sunlight for a
(long?) while, use the WB correction tool, and enjoy life under
Takumar sunlight :-)
