Are single malts brewed elsewhere with or without the 'e'? Sure. Why not? Weather is the same. Barley is the same or similar varieties. 5000ac is being raised near here. (wish someone would make bere bannock but I'm not sure if that is the same barley) Water on the coast where the distillery is is similar, i.e. tannins, peaty. Elk shit instead of sheep shit. ;) They use local lodgepole pine barrels which may impart a different taste.
