Yes it's MAC only - Yes, I have tried it as I am not so happy yet with
the results I see in LR for the X-T2. Although I could see a slight
difference it wasn't enough for me to consider switching workflow. It is
a free trial so you can test it yourself.
I am actually trying out shooting jpeg rather than RAW (well with the
X-T2 you can write raw to one card and jpeg to the other) which is more
of a difference than between Irident and LR
