Back in the film days I acquired an XA through a trade with Joel. I absolutely loved that camera as my go-everywhere camera. I'm of the opinion that if forced to a single focal-length lens, my dying-gasp lens would be a 35mm. The Fujifilm X100 series is really a near-perfect camera. Not the very smallest, but certainly comfortable and portable enough for all but the most limited circumstances. It's hard to go wrong with it. I wouldn't mind having another "pocket" compact. One that is really small. The problem is that the smallest cameras are limited by the size of the screen. Everybody wants a tiny camera, but nobody wants a tiny screen. Do away with the screen and you can get camera with a 1" sensor that will fit on a key chain. The FOB for my wife's Prius is big enough that you could put a camera in it with a decent lens.
