Pixel count, yes, pixel pitch, no.
All this has nothing to do with OUTPUT resolution, though. An
uncropped image from an E-1 and an uncropped image from a 6D will have
vastly different levels of resolution when the displayed image is to
the same physical width. However, a 2560x1920 pixel crop from a 6D
image will produce nearly identical results as an E-1 image when
comparing displayed images.
Except the E-1 image will look better. :)
