budget. Too expensive for the task at hand anyway. I'll give Vuescan a
try although it involves buying the IT8 target. This looks like the best
deal...but in the EU

Paper recommendations? I've been mostly using the Epson Enhanced Matte
for my type of photography and would continue to do so until my supply
is used up... if I can get good results from this printer. Fundamentally
different inks though so may have to baby this old R1900 workhorse until
the paper is used up. Damn nozzles keep clogging. I guess I don't use it
enough.
