Most of the tractors around here have been "auto-steer" equipped for
some time now. Same with the harvesters and even some spray rigs. They
all are fully able to run autonomously today, except for the ability
to handle broken items and non-standard conditions. And in all
honesty, when you have a half-million dollars worth of tractor and
planter out there, paying somebody $10 per hour to keep an eye on the
gauges and watching for things breaking isn't a bad investment.
