He doesn't use Zuikos for railroad photography - strictly fast Canon L glass
for that, so mirrorless isn't in the picture. He has played with my EM-5 II,
though, and is impressed by it.
Our railroad photography is seldom slow and deliberate - you usually have top
think and act fast as the train goes by at 45-60 mph.

Tell him to get (or at least try) a mirrorless camera before he commits
to another DSLR. If you want a full frame camera with IBIS those are
the choices.
I'm guessing that most of his railroad photography is fairly slow and
deliberate. A perfect opportunity to use just the old OMs for most work
and avoid (for the most part) expensive native lenses.
