He was probably using it for image stacking. I've done that a couple of
times with the E-M5. You lock the camera down on a tripod, set the lens for
MF hopefully at the hyperfocal point, and then shoot several hundred
10-secondish shots with the lens uncovered, an equal amount with the lens
covered for background noise reference, and then you just dump 'em all into
a stacking app and let it chew on image files for a while. Pretty cool.
