I forgot that part. Overall, I've come to the conclusion that in-camera isn't
as good/useful overall.

These have both come out quite well!

I remember some pain and suffering doing panoramas in the past. Whether CS5 or
6 I don't recall. Also, I have a considerably more powerful, multi-core machine
with more memory now. My impression is that CC is improved in handling stacks,
but it could be mostly horsepower.

The trade-off between subject depth, desired background focus/bokeh, stack
size, focus differential and aperture is complex. I feel like I'm starting to
get a handle on it, but I'm sure some subject will prove me wrong soon enough.
