I intentionally went out this afternoon sans camera to sit in the sun and read. So of course, there were a couple of
flutterbys working the agapanthus blossoms, and I had to go right back in to grab the body with the PLeica 100-400 . . .
They simply wouldn't sit still, fluttering even when feeding, but lucky timing caught a couple of not so bad images.
Both full frame - 800 mm eq. gets right up close with the larger flutterbys.

Seems they are Black Swallowtails. They don't look quite like any of the web images, but closer to them than anything
else I could find.
