Then I guess I won't begrudge the Metzlers on my BMW motorrad, though I had
thought 10K miles ungenerous. Good tires are a lot more important when
you've only got two.
For cars, I think it depends. My 325xi can probably run the hardest,
coldest tire made quite safely, but I had 80K-rated tires on my daughter's
CR-V and she spun off the road changing lanes on a wet day (more
humiliation than injury, thank God). II made a mental note to put a sticky
tire on a lighter SUV.
