Yes, that's an interesting series. One thing I have noticed about many of
the images you've shown of people working is that they seem to work sitting
down. For example, I've never seen anybody doing wood turning sitting down
(and I've seen a lot of people doing wood turning) !
The Iran images really give an insight into the country that we don't see
via the media here in Oz.

First, let me say that I too am enjoying your pictures from Iran,
especially because I also lived in Iran forty years ago. I usually
don't comment because by the time I see your postings, other people have
already commented, and it doesn't really add much to the list discussion to
say "me too."
I want to mention the series of pictures after the Isfahan oil press but
before the Nain restaurant, of a wood turning shop. The woodworker is not
making part of a Meen exercise club. The shape is too complex, and not
something that would fit comfortably in a hand. I believe it is the shaft
for a hookah-style water pipe. You can see others inside the shop window on
the left side.
