First, let me say that I too am enjoying your pictures from Iran,
especially because I also lived in Iran forty years ago. I usually
don't comment because by the time I see your postings, other people have
already commented, and it doesn't really add much to the list discussion
to say "me too."
I want to mention the series of pictures after the Isfahan oil press but
before the Nain restaurant, of a wood turning shop. The woodworker is
not making part of a Meen exercise club. The shape is too complex, and
not something that would fit comfortably in a hand. I believe it is the
shaft for a hookah-style water pipe. You can see others inside the shop
window on the left side.
