You would be surprised how many are just old with very little income,
not really retired. Not the sort you would find on the Sunny
Mediterranean.

Amen! Ever since I saw what the future was for people over 30 in the
workplace, I continued living as a graduate student, saving every penny I could
but still enjoying hiking, etc. I can cook anything that's on sale and enjoy a
glass of Three Buck Chuck with it.
