If it was an "artsy" shot I think it may be better with a "gritty" grainy
look, but as a documentary shot I think Moose's adjustments make it easier
to live with.

Yes, the newspaper looks sharper but everything else just looks "smeary" to
me. I prefer the grain. I'm giving up on these for the time being but may
return to them in another life.
