Charged batteries, checked out the menu, couldn't find anything matching the
Japanese characters for "language".
I thought I might try doing a firmware update (might be able to change the
language) but need to find a USB cable as it's a different connector to my
other cameras !

Maybe you just have to find the Japanese 'word' for LANGUAGE and click it...
