[OM] LR, Photo imports

I've hit a snag I can't seem to figure out. Neither Lightroom CC (latest)
nor Photos in latest OS X will recognize new images on my iPhone 6s Plus.
Some of them are with different cameras and have been processed, but some
of them are just regular iPhone camera images. Both the import screens in
both programs show nothing. And I can't even get Photos to show me the
pictures on the camera so I can select them and move them over
automatically. Anyone seen this?
