Your zone focusing worked well, Jim.
But although Nathan is enjoying using his new acquisition (doesn’t each of us?)
I think that you’ll find that the older XF35/1.4 is better optically. You can
also buy them secondhand quite cheaply. This chap on the FujiX forum has just
bought the 35/2 and wants to sell his 35/1.4 for $375.
The older lens is apparently slightly slower to focus, is larger and has no
weather sealing, but it is a truly excellent performer.
