Gullah sweetgrass baskets are typically found only in the low country of
South Carolina and Georgia. This lady was from Charleston but was
selling at a church bazaar in Murrells Inlet.

If you get within 30-40 miles of Charleston you'll find these seller's
stands lining the side of the road. The density increases the closer
you get to the Charleston City Market. Making the baskets is very labor
intensive and the prices reflect that. The front basket at far right is
priced at $150.
