When I used the OMs I used a 3rd party teardrop eyecup because it gave
better shielding and also held an appropriate diopter so I didn't have
to use glasses. It was always falling off. I eventually lost it in the
snow. It fell off the 2sp while shooting these photos with the
35-70/3.5-4.5.
<http://www.chucknorcutt.com/Minuteman%20Park/index.htm>It's probably still out there somewhere or was found by someone who had no idea what it was and tossed it. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to attach a little cord to it as has just been suggested. Chuck Norcutt On 10/27/2015 10:58 PM, Moose wrote: On 10/27/2015 12:00 PM, Ken Norton wrote:What else is new? My guess is that it's the same engineer designing the eyecups that has been at it since the OM days.If so, there has been a metamorphosis. The design is completely different. My point is that they're STILL falling off. The OM ones fell off, the E-1 ones fell off, the EM1 ones fall off.As with JohnD, I've not had them fall off of OM-1, 2n (including in tropical rainforest, crashing through surf in a power boat, etc.), 4, 4Ti and various shorter stints with other OMs, nor with E-M5 and E-M5 IIs.
