I had fun when I tried to get them to all have their eyes open for the shots I
took for them, i.e. "close your eyes, we all count up to three together, and at
three your open your eyes and smile".
They kept shouting 1, 2, 3 and burst out laughing.
So when done with their camera, I asked if they could do a replay just for my
own pleasure :-)
Just in case, keep that trick, it works all the time with large groups, even in
more serious circumstances as these; no need for machine gunning at 14fps ...
