I hate google and never use it, and I would be surprised by any misdoing
by smugmug,I have been with the for 10 years now and never heard of such
problems. the slow loading may be possible but that's dependent upon the
line speed and traffic
I seriously doubt that Smugmug had anything to do with it. Facebook and
evilBay are the traditional sources for piggyback intrusions. I have
experienced hit-and-run viruses by way of images on evilBay, but nothing
recently. This is an entirely new bent on the intrusion problem.
The question that comes to mind is this: If these softwares are of any
redeeming value, why do they have to resort to clandestine means to install
them?
I see that sometimes with my earlier images as
I guess they are archived but recent images always load quickly, for me
at least.
I had noticed in recent weeks that dialup performance was unusually slow
despite a 40K connection and the activity indicator was flashing even when I
shut down the browser. The hampered connection with Smugmug while on wifi was
probably due to the clandestine downloading activity.
