If you don't want to see what goes into the hot dog, then turn away
and delete this post.
This is the picture untouched. Straight out of camera:

This is the picture after extensive artistic license has been used:

The danger in giving this is that you will judge the picture
differently and apply your own version of reality to the editing. The
first picture is the starting point. This is the empty canvas that I
had on my screen. Each artist will apply paints differently and come
up with different interpretations. This one happens to be mine.
While ALL editing was done in Lightroom CC 2015, it was not just a
simple matter of cranking sliders around. For one thing, the sliders
don't go far enough!!!! So, you have to get wild with additional
local enhancements and regional changes. Just like the real darkroom,
time and paper grade only gets the overall picture into the
neighborhood. You have to do a lot of dodging and burning from there.
I'm going to repeat something here in case it flew past a few heads.
ALL editing, as in 100% of the editing, was done exclusively in
Lightroom. At no point did this or any other recent photo get anything
done outside of Lightroom itself. This includes the HDR merges, the
Panoramic merges, the local enhancements, the spot editing,...
Everything.
Again, only click on the comparative picture if you are interested in
seeing the pink goo before it is turned into a hot dog.
