With all of the activity and moves, I never paid much attention to the
rear of the machine. While looking at the photo, I'm wondering if what
I see at the back is a fly-wheel, acting as a gyroscope.

All of this talk of 2-wheel and 3-wheel cars brought back memories from
local parades many years ago. A Manchester, TN, resident, August Dobert,
had a 3-wheel performing car that was a feature in these parades. August
died in 2010 at the age of 97, and I have no idea what happened to the
car. I found this small photo in the funeral home posting of his obituary.

I never knew the secret of the moves he could make with the car,
zig-zagging across the parade route while lifting one wheel and then the
other into the air. He always dressed the part, as seen in the photo. It
was impressive!
