All of this talk of 2-wheel and 3-wheel cars brought back memories from
local parades many years ago. A Manchester, TN, resident, August
Dobert, had a 3-wheel performing car that was a feature in these
parades. August died in 2010 at the age of 97, and I have no idea what
happened to the car. I found this small photo in the funeral home
posting of his obituary.

I never knew the secret of the moves he could make with the car,
zig-zagging across the parade route while lifting one wheel and then the
other into the air. He always dressed the part, as seen in the photo.
It was impressive!
