Believe me, I know. I cringe when I walk in to shoot a concert and I see
a lot of LED lights. Horrible. Extremely narrow color spectrum. Blue is
BLUE, red is RED, etc. "White" is just a blend and never really looks
good, at least so far. Now, for my purposes as a concert promoter, I
love LED lighting because it's lightweight, cool, and sips power. And
most fixtures don't need dimmers as they are built in. You just
daisy-chain the DMX cable from fixture to fixture.
But as a photographer? Hate 'em. If someone's face is really lit with
green, there's zero highlight reduction. Try to de-saturate the green?
The face goes away.
